Ujian Flash Card

Petang semalam Nadirah ada ujian Flash Card. Sambil duduk di atas belakang badan Abi, Mummy pun menayangkan kad-kad dari set Baby Einstein. (gambar-gambar daripada DVD Baby Wordworth - First Words Discovery Cards)

1. Cat (sejak azali, haiwan kegemaran malar hijau Nadirah)
2. Dog (sejak azali selepas cat, pagi semalam menangis mahukan dog yang sedang woof woof di tepi jalan)
3. Ball (apa sahaja yang bulat dipanggil ball, termasuk watermelon)
4. Couch (ajaib, mummy tidak menyangka sama sekali anakanda hafal perkataan couch)
5. Table
6. Bed
7. Clock
8. Tree
9. Swing
10.Chair
12.Bowl
13. Telephone
14.Cup
15. Book
16. Bear (Teddy bear)

Our PomPomBoy.

You can do it!

Nadirah's 4th day at school was her last.

When I took her home that day, her body was "dedar". I still drag her to Kauthsar that night for Tarawikh prayer. She refused to play with her usual friends at the surau and remained intact with Mummy.

We didn't stay for tazkirah after Tarawikh because she was too cranky and Kakak Hasanah couldn't handle her cry anymore. I put her to sleep early and knew that I won't be sending her to school the day after. Ibu Mai came over that night after the tazkirah. She passed to my mom remedy for Nadirah, prepared by Ayah.

Before Azan subuh, Ibu gave me a call.

"Mummy, (she calls me Mummy and I call her Ibu) Nadirah macam mana? Ok ke?"

"Semalam badan dedar sikit, sekarang macam dah ok cuma tinggal batuk."

"Mummy hantar Nadirah rumah Ibulah hari ni. Ibu dah buat istikharah. Dari semalam nak telefon Mummy tapi dah malam sangat. Doalah Allah beri kekuatan pada Ibu. Ini sudah takdir Allah pada Ibu."

"Ok Ibu, hari ni Mummy hantar Nadirah rumah Ibu."

That conversation ended her school days.

Hanya Allah yang Maha Mengetahui.

Nadirah @ School

This is Nadirah's 2nd week @ School or to be exact, her very 4th day. Last week she went to school for 2 days only  since Mummy was on MC/annual leave.

At first we thought she gonna like going to school very much, making friends and play all day long with little midgets of her age, but then it turned out that she is very much like Mummy when I was first sent to school eon years ago. I hope not. I hope it was just my nightmare.

When I passed her to "Ibu" yesterday, she cried and tried to pull her body away from Ibu and grabbed Mummy. Sungguh drama queen. I just had to leave and listened her crying her tongue out from my car.

Then when I picked her up from school, as always she was frowning and hanging tight to one of the Ibus. When she set her eyes on me, immediately she smiled. Her misery is now all gone.

Nadirah is in the same class with Fahry. Lyna said, when she sent her superkids this morning, Nadirah was melalak again. Ibu said she'll cry every time they open the door. Probably she was hoping that Mummy will show up and nope, that's not my Mummy!

Sabarlah sayang. Mummy and Abi will 'bubble' you every now and then and Insya-Allah going to school will be so much fun if you try to give it a chance, kay!

Brain Food for Our Baby!

Knew this blog from my dear friend, MommyLyna MSK, thanks alot Lyna! Her name is Lina too, what a coincidence. Anyway, this blogger Momma is truly inspiring. Her daughter has memorized Juzuk 30 at a tender age of 3! Masya-Allah. Allahuakbar! At this challenging era, it's really important for us to provide our children with ilmu Al-Quran, that's one and only way to safeguard us not only from Neraka Allah yang kekal abadi, but also from social ills in our society.

Make learning Al-Quran as our top priority, above others i.e. piano classes, bellerina classes, Kumon etc. And make sure that our spouse is also sharing the same mission like you do. For example, if I can spend USD$99 on Little Reader, will I do the same too for Al-Quran classes, softwares, IQRA' etc. Tak sanggup? Oh, cinta kita kepada dunia masih tinggi. Astagfirullahhalazim. Oh Allah, please guide us to the straight path, Ya Allah. Amin amin Ya Rabbal 'Alamin.

We will die. Surely. The equation is simple and logic, not a rocket science:

Anak soleh = Insya-Allah bahagia lah kita dalam kubur
Anak toleh = Meraunglah kita di sana, tiada suami, mak, abah - tiada siapa sebagai penolong.

Marilah kita tinggalkan anak2 yg soleh dan solehah sebagai asset kita nanti. Bukan sekadar soleh di-bibir, tp sebenar-benar soleh-solehah. If all the mommas in the world bersungguh-sungguh nak melahirkan anak-anak yang patuh pd ajaran Islam, insya-Allah amanlah dunia ini. Hey, I'm still learning to become a good mom too, I admit I'm not doing the right thing all the time. Hiccups do happen. Don't repeat my mistakes if you read/know any and just select whatever you think is following what Islam wants.

Below is Lina's entry on Brain Food. I'm inspired. Start it early, start it now Mummiess!

1) Kacang Badam (Almond)
Ia terkenal kerana kandungan minyaknya.

4) Kurma

5) Madu

6) Buah Tin

7) Habbatus Sauda

8) Ekstrak Daun Zaitun Olive Oleo

Selamat Mencuba..

14 months and counting

Mummy has to put this down, else the thoughts can easily slip away from this forgetful Momma's brain.

To do in March + April:

1. Iqra' - setel all Fathah in March. And try to prepare FC Kasrah for April. I really hope I can find good Arabic flash card in the KLIBF next week like below: Glen DOman Reading Kit: Arabic. Sapa tau where can I buy this one, please shout out! I found this kit from an Indonesian online shop. Do I need to go there to get one? Uwa. The price? 2.5juta rupiah! Erk, I have no idea how much is that in RM. Tak pernah sampai indon lagi. Bibik indon ku pun belum tiba. Aduh.

3. There's no such things as tooooo late for anything. So Abi's high level task: start Nadirah with memorizing Al-Fatihah. :-) You're the star Abi!

4. Finish up GD Maths Dot card. Yes, we are stuck with it and we need to finish that up before her 18mths birthday.

5. Have to let Nadirah knows that there's more than just animal in this world. So, Mummy need to work hard and try to make her interested with our new set of FC: Nature Discovery Cards. So, this will be our theme for the month.

To accompany that, these DVDs are just perfect:

No more animals. Unless we are done with the theme ok sayang?

Ok, 5 is more than enough. If we can get it done at least half of everything, I'm more than happy. No pressure - purely happy and joy moments with my dearest.

These days, Nadirah has shown off a lot of the things she has learnt to Mummy and Abi. (and Ibu and Ayah of course) Last 2 nights when we were at Dr Azhar Yaakob's tazkirah, me and Nadirah sat at the back. As usual, I brought along her FC whenever we go to Kautsar or Naim.

Without expecting anything, I showed her YBCR Flip Cards:

1. SITTING - she was standing, and looking at that card, she instantly seated! Mummy dah teruja. And start showing the next one:

2. WALKING - she stood up, and walk past me (about 7 steps) and stopped, and looked at Mummy with her cheeky smile (mcm nak cakap, "see Mummy, I knew it! I can read!"). I think I was in tears. Since she was responding well and still in focus, I showed another card.

3. FEET - she walked back to me, sit in front of me and goyang2 her feet. Gosh. That moment was priceless.

I stopped my testing session there. I'm afraid she's getting bored of it.

I know Aleka did this at 9mo. But nevertheless I'm a happy Mummy! GLEE!

Vaccination

Vaccination.

It's a very controversial subject. At first, I don't feel like blogging about it. But since not many mommies are aware of the effect of vaccination, I just play my role as a health ranger like Mike Adam does (he does a fantabulousss job! Find some time to read his web, very informative!) Education, not medication! Yeah, that's what we gonna do!

During my early primary school years, when the troop of nurses from Kementerian Kesihatan came to inject us, my mom normally sign in the Parents Consent form for Vaccination "Tidak memperakukan" because I was afraid of the needles. Then only I knew (last year) that my mom didn't allow Epoi to get a single jab when he was little. At that time (early 90s) people were not aware and thought that whatever came out of the horses mouths are correct, so mak faced some difficulties with his school when she was asked whether the injections were done or not.

The situation doesn't change much now. After giving birth, first thing first, you'll be given a vaccination appointment book for your baby. (that's what PCMC does) After 2-3 months, another check-up, and the infant is injected and the series of injections or so called vaccination continue for the next only-God-knows-how-many-months/years.

I wasn't aware about vaccination scheme until I was pregnant. About 2 weeks before Nadirah was born, I got to know up close and personal with Ibu. She was a staff-nurse @ Pusrawi. From her I learnt a lot about vaccination and what to do about it. Thank you Allah for giving me the infos through a stranger that later becomes like a big sister to me.

Anyway, I do not wish to make any conclusion here. I just want to educate not conclude. I'm sure brilliant parents out there know what is best for their children. I found a sound article on this issue that worth reading. In your journey of finding the real truth, you may encounter with term like "Quackery" or "quackers" which normally refers to holistic/naturopthy therapist/healer. It's high time for us to find out who the real quackers are!

The article is long so I've selected the last 2 chunks of it. Read further here. And to read further details of vaccination from the Authors website, click here.

Why Vaccines Cause Diseases

Our body is equipped with an immune system. The immune system I am referring to is not just helper cells and anti-bodies, we have several lines of defense against infection and illness. We have saliva that is full of germs, and we have skin to protect our organs. We have a liver and kidneys to cleanse our blood and excrete toxic waste. We have our lungs to take in fuel, and excrete the waste of cellular metabolism.

In order to make a vaccine, one needs to render the virus, or germ, ineffective and find a way to introduce it into the body. In order to make many batches of this virus for injection, the virus needs food to grow off of. To grow a vaccine virus, the virus is cultured on a variety of nutrient rich substances; like monkey kidney cells, aborted human fetuses, calf serum, guinea pig embryonic tissue, fetal tissue, and other foul things. Once you have this large batch of "disease," and you can imagine how sick and putrid this mix is, you need to remove all the impurities and isolate the virus (or germ) that you want to inject into someone. Now isolating just the virus from this milieu is impossible. Yet we try anyway, we bleach and cleanse the serum and get mostly the virus, plus many contaminants. Now, when the body gets injected with this virus, it will immediately seek to repel it, especially since it is rare for a disease to be introduced into the body directly through the blood stream. Vaccine creators had to find ways to keep the altered virus or germ from being immediately repelled from the body, and this is one purpose of adjuvants, vaccine additives.

Every vaccine contains MSG as one such additive; other vaccine additives include, thimerosal which is mercury, antibiotics, anti-freeze and other poisonous and acidic compounds.

Now imagine your helpless infant. They hardly have an immune system as their bodies' lines of defenses. Their organs are still growing and forming. It is our public policy to inject infants soon after birth, directly with a syringe full of foreign substances. The injection dosage is not carefully measured to be specific to the exact body weight of the infant, and the dose has never been independently screened to be free of contaminants. Immediately after the injection, the body goes into life saving procedures. If you have a healthy and robust child, you will be lucky to get away with a cold or flu-like symptoms, as your child's body tries to excrete all of the impurities just injected through its organs of purification: such as the kidney's, the liver, and the skin. If you have a less robust child, their body's defense mechanisms can fail one after the next, especially after repeated injections. When the body's internal purifiers fail, the blood-brain barrier becomes compromised; that is why a known side effect to vaccines is a high-pitched screaming. The screaming is the nervous system of an infant being damaged and breached as it was never meant to be. Many children are autistic because of vaccinations as the toxic poisons in the vaccines get lodged into places that can alter and affect the nervous system; including brain and spinal column development.

Dr. Albert Sabien, developer of the oral polio vaccine, has changed his vaccine position widely. In a 1995 lecture, he said, "Official data have shown that the large-scale vaccinations undertaken in the US have failed to obtain any significant improvement of the diseases against which they were supposed to provide protection."

With this in mind, we have before us one of the most horrific, disturbing, and incompressible crimes ever committed. Each and every day, thousands of parents along with local and state governments, schools, doctors and politicians, allow this crime, and even promote this crime, as it continues to go unnoticed by the masses.

Let me add one final note to this article. You may have heard of these supposedly great humanitarian organizations going into the third world and providing community service by vaccinating poor children against diseases. Given your new awareness about the lack of evidence of vaccine efficacy, you might wonder what these organizations are really doing? This is what the World Health Organization asked themselves in an internal review, after noticing that an AIDS epidemic seemed to follow where they were vaccinating.

Vaccines in the Third World

On May 11, 1987, The London Times, one of the world's most respected newspapers, published an explosive article entitled 'Smallpox Vaccine Triggered AIDS Virus'. The story suggested the smallpox eradication vaccine program sponsored by the World Health Organization was responsible for unleashing AIDS in Africa. Almost 100 million Africans living in central Africa were inoculated by the WHO
(www.conspiracyplanet.com/channel.cf...) .

In Dr. Campbell Douglas's 1987 report titled 'W.H.O Murdered Africa' he writes that, "There is no question mark after the title of this article because the title is not a question. It's a declarative statement." (www.biblebelievers.org.au/who.htm)

Wangari Maathai, the first African woman to win Nobel Peace Prize claims, what is a common belief in some parts of Africa, that, "In fact it (the HIV virus) is created by a scientist for biological warfare."

Kihura Nkuba spoke about Polio vaccine genocide in Uganda. "At the main hospital in Mbarara during that month of 1977 more than 600 children had died following polio vaccination. 600 children! So even some of the timid medical practitioners who were initially afraid to come out, started coming out giving information and saying 'Oh, we knew this oral polio vaccine was trouble because as soon as the child receives it, they get a temperature and their health goes downhill and there is nothing that you could do.'" (www.whale.to/a/nkuba.htm)

You need to know why you have been led so far from the path of truth. You need to know that when you see media reports that promote the good of vaccines and their effectiveness, such as news or television reports, that these reports are completely fake and fabricated.

This leads me to the conclusion that some of the most powerful forces are at play, since they can easily and freely put manipulative and false material into the public's eye.

Healthy children come from healthy parents who eat whole and unrefined organic foods, who avoid processed foods like pasteurized milk, processed sugar, cheap vegetable oils, infant formulas, and processed flour products that are so prevalent in our food supply.

If you want your child to be healthy and disease free, do not give them a polluted body. Do not violate the purity of your child's blood.

Loving our children means not giving them vaccinations and it means that we need to inform other parents as well that vaccines are indeed shown and proven to be deadly.

Spread the word and do your part in ending this heinous crime.

"The greatest lie ever told is that vaccines are safe and effective," and now you know why.

May you and your children experience peace and happiness beyond vaccines.

Weekend at the Zoo

At last, we finally stepped into the Zoo Negara after planning and postponing for many weeks!

Rasanya Mummy Abi yang terlebih excited to go to the Zoo. The Zoo is like 'monkey's feet' away from our home but it took ages for us to make the visit. I can't remember a thing about the zoo tho I must have visited the elephants and girrafes there for many many times during school holidays eons years ago.

We arrived around 10 am and among the earliest to arrive. Before that we stopped at ManjaKu and bought Nadirah a pair of shoes since her old one (given by Aunty Bugs) is too small for her chubby feet. Alhamdulillah, the weather was sunny. After buying the ticket, Abi and Nadirah greeted these two tiny snakes outside the zoo. Aksi berani betol. Jangan cuba di rumah anda tanpa pengawasan pegawai Zoo Negara.

Then we bought the Zoo map (RM2) and started planning our route. Since there'll be an animal show around 11 am at the Open Arena, we decided to walk around the area first so that we didn't miss the show. Among the animals that Nadirah saw were Hornbills, monkeys & co, rabbits, goats, pony, horse, deer, snakes, rhinocerous and bees museum.

15 minutes to 11, we were already seated in the Arena, happily waiting while eating ice-creams and buns. In no time, crowds started to grow and the seats were full before the show began.

The show kicked off with 2 emcees randomly picked kids and asked Qs, whoever got the answers right will be given lolipops. Nadirah many times put her arms up but they didn't layan her. Hey you thought this baby doesn't know how to talk yet ka? If you asked her how to roar, I think the Zoo will probably propose to this little cub to stay with the tigers in the cage ok. Afterall you just have 3 tigers at the moment, that is not enough for the coming Tiger year :p

Then the show started with a big red parrot naikkan national flag. Then followed by seals playing basketball, jumping up and down, clapping hands (flippers) and hmm that's it. Nadirah wasn't really paying attention to the show. She was busy looking at other babies and toddlers around and probably thinking of making new friends I guess.

Bile nak habis ni Abi?

After the show finished, it was getting hotter and hotter and we opted to take the tram instead of walking. Nadirah started grumpy and eating my tudung - a sign for milky time. Soon the tram started moving, nadirah has already snuggled in my arms and ready for lunch. Hoho. That's not a good sign! She's getting sleepy already! Abi took her from me and showed the girrafes and elephants but she was in no mood for animals and started cying. She wanted her meal and her after-lunch-nap too. We had to give in. Nadirah fell asleep seconds after nursing and left Mummy and Abi enjoying the rest of the sight-seeing. We stopped at Nadirah's best friends house - the tigers and lepak at gazebo nearby and ate my home cooked beehoon. Nadirah was then in LalaLand.

LalaLand

We then took the tram again and finished the tour. Basically Nadirah just saw quarter of the zoo so we'll be back again Tiger! Anyhow, we really enjoy the trip. It's like mesmerizing the bits and pieces of our childhood memory. The only thing I can remember about the Zoo was the sight of Abah and Epoi with elephants. When Epoi was tiny, he loves Ally-phants so much. I don't know why. Why eh Epoi?

Backbenches rock!

We'll come again Tiger!

Our Sunday didn't end just yet. Ikea van arrived later that afternoon with our 2nd Billy and Lerbergh that we bought the day before. Thanks to Lana the walking GPS for giving us the quickest direction to Ikea via DUKE-Penchala Link. Hehe. The rest of the day was spent arranging books on both Billy. Puas hati den!

Lerbergh for our kitchen
Billy

Before: Nadirah building blocks with Opah while Abi&Mummy were busy with Billy

Aftermath: Almost done.

All in all, weekend well spent, alhamdulillah :-)
